ReCUB's Logo Sounds

Each button has its own sound, and there are also special sounds used when the player makes a mistake, the time is over, or the user hits a control button. All these sounds are included in a sub-folder of the "sounds" folder, and the name of this sub-folder is what you see in the sounds selection window.

If you aren't playing a game, you can press the Sounds button or F6 to access that window. Once there, you can select a sounds folder and listen their files (like a preview). If you find someone that you like, press the Ok button to use it later. Press the Cancel button to return to the game without changes.

If you want to download more sounds... Go to the ReCUB 2000 web page. There, you will find all sound types not included in the distribution version of ReCUB, plus more skins, music, information, links, and other free games from the same author.

You can also include your own sounds!. The best way to create your first sound type is to modify an already existent one. You can make a copy of a sounds sub-folder and then make your changes, with any WAV-file editor. NOTE: do not delete or modify the original copy of the 'Default sounds' sub-folder!! These sounds are used when a selected sound type is missing or corrupted. To include your sounds from the scratch, print the list of WAV files needed and read the examples and notes of the following items...

Here is the full list of files that must be included in a sounds sub-folder, with a short description of each one:
